John Donne

About the poet:

Born: January 21, 1572 in London England
Died: March 31, 1631 in London England
 

Donne was an English poet, lawyer and priest.  He was considered to be one of the most famous metaphysical poets (one who invents or uses unusual metaphors).  He went to two Universities starting at age 11 for a total of six years but didn't complete a degree.
