About the poet:

Born: December 10, 1824 in Huntly Scotland
Died: September 18, 1905 in Surrey England
 

George MacDonald was a poet as well as an author and Christian minister.  He was most known for his fairy tales and fantasy stories for people of all ages.  C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkien were a couple of his famous followers.
